If your MA-PD plan is ending and you don\u2019t pick a replacement, you\u2019ll automatically revert to Original Medicare starting January 1, but your prescription drug coverage will end and Extra Help members may get reassigned. Keep in mind: Original Medicare doesn\u2019t have an annual out-of-pocket maximum, and for 2026, you\u2019re looking at a Part B premium of $202.90\/month, a $283 Part B deductible, and a $1,700 Part A deductible.<\/p>\n<p>One major insurer is ending coverage for around 600,000 Medicare Advantage members in 2027, so those early notice letters are your signal to start reviewing your options. Your Medigap guaranteed-issue window opens 60 days before your plan ends and lasts 63 days after; if you go more than 63 days without drug coverage, you could face a permanent Part D penalty.<\/p>\n<p>To keep your coverage on track for January 1, make sure to select a new Advantage plan or Original Medicare with Part D by December 31.
